5 steps to protect your skin from the cold

Falling temperature, wind, rain or snow … Your skin is put to the test. Change your habits to display a beautiful complexion all winter long.

The two keys to protected skin, even in cold weather? Adapt your diet and use beauty products with creamy formulas.

1-Preserve your lips

Their thin skin, devoid of sebaceous glands, is not resistant to wind and cold. We adopt a balm enriched with vegetable butter (cotton, shea) that we apply generously throughout the day, and in the evening before going to bed.

Advice in +:

  • We change the lip balm formula regularly, otherwise the skin gets used to it and the treatment becomes less effective.
  • When you leave a hydrating face mask on, you think of applying it to the lips, for an extra soft mouth.

2-Apply a protective complexion product

We play the mille-feuilles effect, like a windbreaker placed on the skin. We superimpose moisturizing serum and day cream, then we add a BB or CC cream, enriched with moisturizing and protective active ingredients, sometimes equipped with an anti UV filter. It acts as a shield against external aggressions and it evens out the complexion.

3-Target your makeup products

On the eyes and the cheeks we favor oily textures, much more comfortable and less drying than powders. They have a silky and ultra luminous finish, very suitable for the low light of winter.

4-Remineralize your body

Under the effect of stress and an unbalanced diet, the body becomes acidic. We find an alkaline balance when diving 3 evenings in a row in a bath enriched with salt d’Epsom rich in magnesium (2 mugs of salt for a 15-minute immersion). We go out relaxed, and the body is full of minerals. Our cells evolve in a favorable ecosystem and our skin is better hydrated.

5-Eat green

We adopt a “beautiful skin” smoothie in the morning, composed of 50% green leafy vegetables (rich in magnesium and potassium) and 50% seasonal fruits. We add flax seeds, rich in anti-inflammatory omega 3, perfect for sensitive skin. These seeds also contribute to the proper functioning of the intestines, an essential factor to display a beautiful complexion.
